You are correct. When I played this game, it introduced me to Deadpool how absolutely bananas he isn’t my first time seeing somebody break the fourth wall and moon Knight. Two characters I loved a lot, and I played more and looked up more about them. I do think it holds up today. Yes, the graphics aren’t phenomenal but I still actually prefer how the characters look art style wise.

Doctor Strange having the ability to turn an enemy into a crate was done before Ultimate Alliance. Scarlet Witch had the same ability in X Men Legends 2 Rise of Apocalypse 😀

Great video man! I was wondering, have you ever considered doing a retrospective on X-Men: The Official Game? It’s kind of unique as a tie-in, as it takes place between X2 and X3, and tries to further the movies’ ongoing storyline.

The family was struggling so Lisa got a job, which only seemed to be because her boss liked her in a skirt. She got pregnant around the time she started her job so the husband thought she was cheating on him. He gouged out her eye and cut the baby out of her stomach to see if she cheated on him as he believed but must've realized it was his. So he exphixiated himself with the umbilical chord. The broadcast says a garden hose, but a faint voice says "umbilical chord" shortly after. Another weird thing to point out is the child screaming in the freezer/fridge. While the families may not be related, it's possible the murder at the start of the video happened in the same home leading to multiple spirits; Lisa, the fetus and the young girl locked in the freezer.

I heard about this and have seen quite a few videos about this. It was supposed to be merged with the new movement from a Tony Hawk game. But if they give him the same treatment, he had in marvel nemesis that would’ve been fantastic. Also, thanks for all the videos you do, man it really gets me through gaps in my day. A challenge mode would’ve been great. Honestly, that’s what keeps me into games that I have beaten with such a long story. I’ll hop into the four unleashed or X-Men origins Wolverine just so that I can feel OP and have fun destroying enemies that fear me

I have to agree it would’ve been so much colder if we just got a marvel game. Or at least just make the imperfect either NPC or unlockable characters. The only one I really like is Johnny ome but that’s just because I like any electric using character and that will be my chosen superpower. Instead of quake, there is also avalanche of the brotherhood.

You are correct I can’t tell you how many times I had to retry the venom, wanton destruction level. That one is definitely rage inducing.

I agree I think they could’ve focused more on characters that don’t get the light in are cast side. The punisher would’ve been so cool especially because correct me if I’m wrong I don’t even think he’s in the ultimate alliance games. If he’s in three I haven’t played, but I don’t think he was one or two. He would’ve been really fun and he would’ve fit the style of this game.

I know there are a lot of explosions and at times can be annoying, but I don’t understand the hate this game gets. I have a lot of fun with it. And at the moment it is the only true marvel fighting game that is in the vein of Mortal Kombat and Tekken. Marvel versus Capcom is a times too fast.

Great review and these are great games. I played ultimate alliance one and two and I love them, but my heart goes to the X-Men so these are a top above. I loved to and it was such a cool addition. If we get an X-Men legends three I hope it’s just like number two maybe up the graphics a little bit but honestly, I don’t care they look really good. I know people probably don’t do it anymore, but that’s the game that I would wait outside for
